Your two forms

Every site in Wunderly comes with two forms: a contact form and a quote form with a live price. They're how Wunderly knows who reached out, what they asked for, and where people stop. You edit them under Forms.

The contact form

Name, email, phone (optional) and a message, plus up to five questions of your own. Name, email and the message stay, and stay required, so you can always reply.

The quote form

The questions your price depends on, the live estimate as they answer, then name, email and phone (optional). The estimate, name and email stay. Estimates and formulas explains the price, and Question types every kind of question.

On your site, or on its own page

Each form's Share has the code that puts it on any page of your site. It takes on the site's fonts and colors, and grows to fit:

<script async src="https://forms.usewunderly.com/embed.js" data-wunderly="your-form-id"></script>

On WordPress, the Wunderly plugin adds the form as a block. Each form also has its own page on forms.usewunderly.com to link to from anywhere (Hosted pages).

The line about the pages they looked at

Directly above Send, both forms say: “Sending this shares the pages you looked at on this site today with [your site's name].” When someone sends a form, the pages they looked at on your site that day are attached to their request, with where they came from. That's the “Looked at” on each request. The line can't be reworded or removed.

Nothing is attached, and the line isn't shown, when the person's browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when the analytics script isn't on the page they came from. The request still counts as reaching out, and says “No pages were linked to this request.”

Saving as they type

Answers save as people type, so someone can come back to an unfinished form. That's also how Wunderly sees where people stop: Your quote form, question by question on your main page. Answers never sent are deleted 30 days after the person last touched them.

The emails a request sends

  • To you: every request, with every answer, the estimate, and the pages they looked at. Reply and it goes to them. Up to five more people can get it; add them in the site's settings.
  • To them, from the quote form: their estimate, when they ask for it, from your business's name.

No Wunderly email tracks opens or clicks.

Spam

Cloudflare Turnstile checks each send, usually without asking the person anything, and limits stop floods from one place.
